The Ezperanto cover was inspired by a painting done by one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Jean Côté, also a friend of Marimuz and close friend of the great Riopelle.
Ezperanto 1 was nominated by l’ADISQ (Association québécoise de l’industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la video) as “Instrumental album of the year in 2008”. The mission of l’ADISQ is to honour the artists, artisans and professionals of the music industry.
